One mystery revealed

Finally, I can tell you about something I hinted about a while back. A couple weeks ago, I showed you a block I made (click here for the post). Well, this block was for more than just idle play, like I implied! It was a block for a super secret project. Our wonderful president of the KC Modern Guild, Jacquie of Tallgrass Prairie is moving to Chicago, so we were all asked to make a 6" block to go into a quilt for her. These are her colors:
My orange, gray and white block for Jacquie. She likes
improv piecing, so I did that! For a first try, I think it came out pretty cool!
And you know what? I kinda liked it!
Jacquie is in the center. I just was blown away with how
wonderful all the blocks went together. I've worked on a lot
of group quilts and this is by far the best one!
There's my block! We all signed them for her.
You can just work out my name on the right, white rectangle.
And yes, plans are still underway for my own orange and gray quilt. And that project I will share with you every step of the way!

  1. Wow! That is one of the best group quilts I have ever seen.
