This week has been such a bear! First with this cold that won't settle down and then with crazy work deadlines and the last day of school for the kids! It's a wonder I got them fed and myself showered at all this week! I did manage to have time to do one of my favorite things, though - talk to quilters! I spoke to the
Starlight Quilter's Guild in Mission, Kansas.

| Here I am with my very first quilt. It's such a hoot to show off. I made it when I was 6 months pregnant with my third child. I had a 2 1/2 year old and a 15 month old at the time. Who knows what I was thinking! And yes, it's a tumbling block! I didn't know that was hard! Funny what you can do when you don't know any better! The best thing about this quilt? My son still uses it and he's almost 17! |

| Here's my "holders" holding one of my all time favorite quilts - Dinner Bell. The Circuit Rider's Quilt is in the back. I like to drag that one along, even when I'm talking about Modern quilts. It's fun to show all the different aspects of quilting. |
The ladies were so nice and welcoming! It really was a pleasure to speak to them! We had a good time talking about design, color, fabric, quilting and applique! I hope they invite me back sometime!
