Springtime in the Rockies Book Giveaway!
As most of you know, in my non-quilting life, I have the pleasure of being an editor for other quilters! Today I'd like to share one of the books I edited for Konda Luckau of Moose on the Porch Quilts. This is a collaboration of nine quilt designers from the Rocky Mountains - specifically the Wasatch Front. Now I'm a flatlander through and through, being born and raised in Missouri, so this book was an inspirational treat for me. It's full of photos of The Rockies illustrating the beautiful surroundings these lucky designers get to draw inspiration from daily!
Fifteen projects in a wide range of skill levels, sizes and techniques are included. Below is one of my favorites from the book - Fresh Cut Flowers by Becky Morganson of Stitches and Sew Forth. Of course I like it because it's applique, but I also like how she used the color. It's very traditional in feel, but the colors are updated and cheerful. I would make a great wall hanging for a baby's room or a young child.
In honor of the book's release, I'm going to give away a copy of Springtime in the Rockies! To enter simply leave a comment. I'll randomly draw the winner next Wednesday - October 3. Good luck!
