On to the background. She immediately saw feathers! Perfect! I come from a traditional background so I have always loved feathers. I know some don't like feathers on modern quilts, but my philosophy is that beauty is always appropriate! So the feathers went in!
But the absolute brilliance of the quilting is the very center. Angela made a medallion-style flourish (for lack of a better word!) in the center. It's beautiful and contrasts with the flowing feathers perfectly! I couldn't be happier with the quilting on this quilt!
